I am very new to EF and I am trying to get it working with mysql, mainly just so I can start to see how it works. I am thinking of replacing my old DAL code with it.
Because I am not sure how it works, I am really struggling to get it going. This is day 2 now and still nothing is working :-(
I click Add > New Item > ADO.NET Entity Data Model (Click ADD)
Click any of the 4 options, they all have the same out come - EF Designer from DB / Empty EF / Empty Code / Code First from DB, I go through the wizard until I get to the bit where I need to select the DB connection string > Press next and the window closes and nothing else happens - the model was not created and I dont get the option to choose the tables for the model.
Because this is all new to me, I am not sure how to either fix this, or even if this expected behaviour and I have done something wrong
